| Water Level Meters are used to measure the depth to water in wells, stand-pipes , and piezometers. A water-sensing probe is lowered on an electrical cable. The probe gives an audible and a visual alarm on contact with water. The depth is read off the incrementally marked tape when the alarm sounds.
This meter uses a flat, non-stretch, reinforced plastic tape, spooled on a sturdy reel. The tape is designed so it will not stick to wet casing. Features include a lightweight metal stand, reel brake, battery drawer on the reel, sensitivity adjustment, and auto-off circuitry to save batteries. Markings are at 1/100 and 1/10 foot. Optional waterproof probe can be used to gauge total well depth.
