| The PT2X is an extremely easy to use submersible Pressure Transducer and digital Data-Logger combined in one miniature stainless steel probe. Use the PT2X for slug testing, aquifer monitoring, stream or wetlands management, pump and remediation control, and industrial and process applications.
The pressure transducers incorporate built-in temperature compensation, which provides accurate and stable readings, even in changing environments. Vented (gauge) transducers are available to eliminate the effects of barometric pressure changes, or use non-vented (absolute) transducers where barometric pressure is not a factor or is measured independently. Transducers are calibrated to NIST traceable standards, and software allows for in-place field calibrations. Our unique design allows factory servicing of the transducer and replacement or upgrade of internal components.
Using the Aquistar4Plus® software and a PC, laptop, or PalmTM handheld device, the built-in logger allows fast and easy user set-up of all logging parameters (including single or multiple logging rates, units of measure, instant or delayed start, synchronizing logger clock to the user’s computer, and downloading data). Multiple test configurations or “sessions” can be created and stored in memory for recall and use while in the field. Since each PT2X is individually addressable, up to 32 units can be deployed on a single cable or wireless system just like a PC network. The PT2X readily interfaces with industrial control and SCADA systems.
Readings can be viewed in real-time, or stored data can be accessed and download as often as desired without interrupting logging. A Palm™ device can also serve as an optional and inexpensive hand-held readout or for downloading data. The PT2X stores up to 130,000 time-stamped readings that remain stored onboard the PT2X, even after downloading, to maintain data continuity and redundancy.
Low power consumption allows over 500,000 readings on one set of user-replaceable AA batteries. Auxiliary power can be supplied through the cable. An optional digital output channel allows on/off control of a separate device, such as a pump or an alarm, based on user-defined parameters.
The Aquistar4Plus® software provides data handling capability including numeric display, graphing, and export to spreadsheet functions. All functions are menu driven, using point and click Windows® functionality. Optional remote wireless two-way data transmission is simple and economical using our WaveData™ radios, cell phones, or Internet connection.
