This rugged and economical new pump is designed to replace "expendable" plastic purge pumps, providing longer life and sampling capability. The Nomad™ is powerful enough for purging and  sampling to depths of 70 feet in 2-inch wells and larger. All exposed pump components are stainless steel for durability and sample integrity. The single-stage, rugged "brush-less" motor design will not burn out under load and can provide up to 400 hours of use without servicing.
 
The Nomad™ Pump utilizes a stainless steel, hand-held controller, about the size of a TV remote, which enables the user to adjust the flow from full force to a slow steady stream for Low-Flow sampling. The 10-foot long power cord plugs into the controller and features a "Power Port" adapter to operate off vehicle power. An optional AC converter is available to provide maximum pumping rates from generators and on-site power.

Unlike "throw-away" pumps, the Nomad has only one wear component, factory replaceable bearings, which can be serviced for a small service fee.

Helpful Hints:
The flow rate of DC pumps is directly dependent on the voltage that reaches the motor. "Cigarette Lighter" ports on older vehicles deliver less voltage than "Power Ports" on newer vehicles. Pumping from depth requires more power than pumping from shallow wells. Power supplies producing 13 to 14 volts will enable the Nomad to pump 1 GPM from 70 feet, while 6 volts at the pump will produce about ½ GPM from the same depth. The Power Port in most vehicles will produce 12 to 13 volts with the vehicle running, less when the vehicle is off as the battery is used. The optional AC adapter will produce a steady 14 Volts from a generator or fixed AC power source. Portable 12Volt power supplies can provide constant pumping for 1 to 3 hours.
